The first hours decide how big a water loss becomes. Standing water keeps soaking into subfloors, drywall and framing until it is removed, and a room that could have been dried in place turns into one that has to be torn out. We arrive with truck-mounted and portable extraction units and get the water out first, then set up drying.

What to do before we arrive
Shut off the water at the main valve if the source is inside the house. Turn off power to the wet area at the breaker if outlets or cords are in the water. Keep people and pets out. Lift what you can off the floor. Then leave the rest to us.

Can I just use a wet vac and fans?
For a small spill on tile, yes. For anything that reached drywall, carpet pad or a wood floor, no. Household fans dry the surface and leave the inside wet, which is where mold starts. Proper extraction and monitored drying is what keeps a wet room from becoming a torn-out room.
Will my insurance cover this?
Sudden and accidental water damage, like a burst pipe, is commonly covered. Long-term leaks and outside flooding often are not. Your policy decides, so call your insurer early. We document the loss so the adjuster has what they need.
