Do this first
- Stop running water into it. More water only backs up further.
- Skip chemical drain cleaners. They can damage pipes and make the job dangerous for whoever opens the drain.
- Check your other drains. If several fixtures are slow, or a toilet gurgles when the sink drains, the main line may be blocked.
- Sewage coming up? Stop using water. Don't flush or run water until the line is cleared.
How we clear drains
We find where the blockage is, clear it with the right tool for that line, and run water to make sure it flows. If clogs keep coming back, the line itself may be damaged, and we'll talk you through the repair options.
One slow drain or the main line?
One slow drain usually means a local clog. Several slow drains at once, or water coming up in a tub, shower or floor drain, points to the main sewer line.
If the problem has already soaked floors, walls or cabinets, the same call covers extraction, drying and repairs.
