If it stops making hot water
- Read the display. Most units show an error code. Write it down before you call.
- Check the power and gas. Make sure the breaker is on, and for a gas unit, that the gas valve is open.
- Try one hot faucet at a time. Running several at once can ask for more hot water than the unit can make.
- Leave the cover on. Gas and electrical parts inside aren't a do-it-yourself repair.
Switching from a tank to tankless
Going tankless is more than swapping one unit for another. A gas tankless heater usually needs a larger gas line and its own venting, and an electric one can need a heavier electrical circuit. We check what your house has before recommending a unit, and you get an upfront estimate.
Repairs we handle
- Error codes and units that won't fire
- Water that runs hot, then cold
- Weak hot-water flow
- Leaks at the unit or its connections
- Scale buildup and flushing
Why flushing matters
Minerals in the water build up as scale inside the heat exchanger. That cuts efficiency and can set off error codes. Manufacturers call for periodic flushing; how often depends on your water and your unit.
What you get
- Licensed master plumber
- Upfront estimate on site
- Gas line upgrades when needed
Questions
Is a tankless water heater worth it?
It depends on how your household uses hot water and which fuel you have. Tankless units save space and don't run out the way a tank can, but they cost more to install. We'll go over the trade-offs for your house.
Can you flush my tankless water heater?
Yes. Flushing clears scale out of the heat exchanger. Your unit's manual says how often it's due.
Do you charge to come out?
No. There's no dispatch fee. Once we're on site and have seen the problem, we give you an upfront estimate for the work needed.
