Sump Pump Repair & Installation

A sump pump sends groundwater away from your basement before it can flood it, and you need it most in heavy rain. We repair and replace sump pumps, install new ones, and dry out the basement if water got in.

Do this first

  1. Water rising in the pit? Check that the pump is plugged in and that the breaker or outlet hasn't tripped.
  2. Check the float. A float switch stuck against the side of the pit keeps the pump from turning on.
  3. Basement already wet? Stay clear of water near outlets and cords, and move belongings off the floor.
  4. Take photos. Pictures of the water and the damage help with an insurance claim.

Signs your sump pump needs attention

  • It runs nonstop or keeps cycling on and off
  • It hums but doesn't move water
  • It doesn't start when the pit fills
  • Rattling, grinding or a burning smell
  • The discharge line is clogged, frozen or disconnected

Backup protection

Storms can knock out power just when the pump is needed. A battery backup pump or a high-water alarm adds protection, and we'll go over what fits your basement.

If the basement flooded

Water damage restoration is the other half of what we do. Along with fixing the pump, we extract the water, dry the structure and repair what was damaged.

Water damage handled too

If the problem has already soaked floors, walls or cabinets, the same call covers extraction, drying and repairs.

Questions

Can you install a sump pump where there isn't one?

Yes. A new pump needs a pit, a discharge line that carries water away from the house, and power nearby. We look at the basement and give you an upfront estimate.

Can you dry out a flooded basement?

Yes. Extraction and structural drying are part of our water damage restoration work, so one call covers the pump and the water.

Do you charge to come out?

No. There's no dispatch fee. Once we're on site and have seen the problem, we give you an upfront estimate for the work needed.
