Signs of a water problem
- White scale on fixtures. Crusty buildup on faucets and showerheads, and spots on dishes, point to hard water.
- Soap that won't lather. Hard water makes soap and shampoo work less well.
- Odors, taste or color. A rotten-egg smell, a chlorine taste and cloudy or rusty water each have different causes.
- On a private well? Have the water tested so the treatment matches what's actually in it.
Softener or filter?
A water softener removes the minerals that cause hardness and scale. A filter removes things like sediment, chlorine taste or odors. Some homes need one, some need both, and a water test tells you which.

Questions
Do I need a water softener?
It depends on your water. Public water systems publish a yearly water quality report, and a private well should be tested. If the water is hard, a softener protects fixtures and appliances from scale.
Can you repair a softener you didn't install?
Yes. We repair and service water softeners and filtration systems whoever installed them.
Do you charge to come out?
No. There's no dispatch fee. Once we're on site and have seen the problem, we give you an upfront estimate for the work needed.
